El Instituto de Física PUCV tiene el agrado de presentar la primera parte de un
nuevo Mini-Curso: Introduction to Cosmology Part I, impartido por el Dr. Julio Fabris, profesor visitante del IFIS proveniente de la Universidade Federal do Espirito Santo (UFES), Brazil. Este minicurso está enmarcado en el proyecto ANID FOVI-250062

El curso requiere conocimientos de Termodinámica, Mecánica Estadística y Relatividad General. La inscripción puede efectuarse el primer día de clases.

Program: The goal of this mini-course is to give a general view of the Standard Cosmological
model, its success and its problem, as well as possible new perspectives.

• Lesson I:

1. 1. General Relativity: a summary.

   2. The homogeneous and isotropic universe

   3. Basic cosmological solutions

   4. Properties of the solutions.

   5. The expanding universe

• Lesson II:

1. 1. Primordial universe: general considerations

   2. The radiative universe

   3. Baryogenesis and Nucleosynthesis

   4. Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation

   5. The sucess and problems of the model: the inflationary paradigm.

• Lesson III

1. 1. The present universe: general overview

   2. Matter dominated phase

   3. The accelerated universe: The dark sector

   4. Tensions in the Standard Cosmological Model.

   5. Alternative models for the present universe.
